ANDY'S STORY
Andy Hughes has been playing music across the Upper Midwest since 2003. His shows bring together original music, familiar favorites, and the people in the room.
He doesn't stay in one lane. A given set might move through country, reggae, folk, hip-hop, rock, and a few things that don't have a name yet. Every song carries his voice and his point of view, regardless of where it lands on the genre map. Before going solo, he toured nationally with his ska/reggae band TUGG and shared stages with national acts.
As a solo artist, he has released Heartland and Heartache (2017), Songs for Sunday (2019), and Us Bound (2024). He went full-time in 2022 and hasn't looked back.

The shows are never scripted and never the same twice. He makes up songs on the spot about the audience, the venue, the city. One minute it's a heartfelt folk story, the next he's freestyling over reggae grooves with the crowd yelling suggestions. The guitar work and looping are there, but the thing people keep coming back for is the connection. You really do have to see it.
