Hughes refuses to be boxed into one genre. His music stretches from folk and country to reggae, ska, hip hop, and beyond, yet every song he plays carries his unmistakable voice and style. With his alternative ska/reggae band TUGG, he toured across the United States and shared stages with national acts. As a solo artist, he has released two acclaimed records: Heartland and Heartache (2017) and Songs for Sunday (2019), both earthy folk-rock albums praised by fans and critics.

What truly sets Andy apart happens on stage. His shows are never scripted and never the same twice. He creates songs on the spot about the audience, the venue, and the city itself. One moment he may lean into heartfelt folk storytelling, the next he is freestyling over reggae and hip hop grooves, pulling the crowd directly into the music.
