I have worked with Andy Hughes for almost 10 years. I am the co-founder and booking agent for an outdoor concert series called Moon Tunes. Andy’s band, TUGG, has played eight straight years and has consistently drawn huge crowds. He has also performed at our 1930’s music venue, The Grand Hotel Ballroom.
Over the years I have booked many bands and know there are good musicians and there are good entertainers. With Andy, you get both. 120%. He is totally professional, easy to work with, and just a dang good guy! You can feel confident working with him.

"Andy Hughes is a treasure! An amazing storyteller and musician, he was the perfect addition to our music series at the brewery. Andy is engaged, responsive and so easy to work with. The crowd absolutely loved him, if we could have him every week we would!"

Songs for Sunday might feel familiar upon first glance, but far below the surface, Hughes masterfully injects classic structures with charm, warmth, compassion and pin-point poetry. He’s the kind of songwriter and musician, whose stylistic habits are only growing stronger, that is keeping the very heart of the Americana scene alive and flourishing.”
- B-Sides and Badlands

Songs for Sunday taps into the everyday desperation of human experience, and positively transports you to a lazy Sunday, reflective vibe.”
Americana Highways

“Although Songs for Sunday took a year to make, it’s the thought-provoking lyrics focusing on experiences from heartache and happiness to everyday troubles listeners will relate to that made it worth the wait.”
- The Country Note

“It’s an album with thoughtful—sometimes provocative lyrics—with elements of bluegrass, folk, classic country and Americana……Like all good songwriters Hughes has a knack for encapsulating meaning in a few well-chosen words….”
The La Crosse Tribune

“With compelling compositions and pleasant vocals this effort succeeds in revealing Hughes as a promising singer/songwriter in the tradition of his heroes.”
Country Standard Time

“With his very understated vocal expressions (which without much effort, gleam rays of sunshine), Andy continues to bat away at the internal demons of ordinary folk who battle with everyday demons.”
